Identity and Access Management Analyst

Location: Remote - Ontario


Empire life is looking to hire an Identity and Access Management Analyst to join our IT Risk and Governance team!


As a key member of our IT Risk and Governance team, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our cloud-based consumer IAM services. Working under the supervision of the Director, Digital Trust and Identity, your primary focus will be on ensuring the security and reliability of our authentication and authorization systems, with a particular emphasis on our Auth0 platform.

What you’ll be working on

  • Assist in the day-to-day administration and support of Auth0 and its supporting platforms including, but not limited to Sendgrid, Twilio, and log analysis services as required.

  • Collaborate with IT team members to implement and maintain user authentication and authorization workflows.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related issues reported by our subscribers and employees.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation related to our IAM systems.

  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new IAM technologies and features.

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our security posture by staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging threats.

  • Work closely with other teams, such as application development and security, to ensure seamless integration of IAM solutions.

What we’re looking for you to have
  • A university degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is an asset, but not required.

  • Familiarity with core IAM concepts, including authentication, authorization, and identity federation.

  • Familiarity with IAM solutions, such as Auth0, Active Directory and Entra ID.

  • Knowledge of industry-standard protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.

  • Software development experience in languages like JavaScript or Python is an asset.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIDPro, Microsoft Certified IAM Administration Associate) are an asset.
