Overview:


HealthCentral is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will interface across all our digital brands and their teams and will handle support for daily and monthly accounting procedures. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who enjoys developing and implementing improved accounting processes. This role will report directly to the Corporate Controller.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full Accounts Payable (AP) life cycle to include vendor setup, coding and approving invoices, and processing bi-weekly disbursements
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships by providing consistent communication, payment status updates and fielding other requests
  • Assist with the annual 1099 process
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations for business bank accounts
  • Reconcile and maintain monthly prepaid and accrual schedules
  • Manage the daily accounts receivable operations and collections including but not limited to posting cash receipts to client accounts and maintaining complete and accurate record of collection efforts
  • Assist Corporate Controller with the general accounting functions associated with the monthly close
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies as necessary
  • Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Accounting department by assisting in ad hoc projects and general tasks to include support during the annual audit process
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of hands-on financial accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong analytical and problem – solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, flexible environment
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to deliver timely and accurate results
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

System Proficiencies (preferred but not required):

  • Microsoft Great Plains
  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
  • AvidXchange Automated AP Software
