The Role

LeafLink is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join its Finance and Accounting team. This role will report to the Company’s Controller. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in month-end close, billing operations, financial statements, and audit coordination. The candidate will also have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to handle ad hoc projects as they arise. This role is for self-starters and entrepreneurial-minded individuals who desire to contribute to the success of a technology start-up.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage and perform the month-end financial close process for one of the Company’s entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the financial data including preparation of accounting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and reviewing journal entries prepared by other accounting team members.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare management reports required for internal reporting.
  • Assist in the annual audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of audit schedules.
  • Oversee the billings operations team to ensure timing invoices with customers and work to resolve any billing issues as they arise.
  • Provide system implementation support by serving as a finance member of system implementation teams where the company is implementing new systems/software that impact the finance/accounting team.
  • Develop and maintain company accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with relevant tax filings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting capabilities.
  • Assist with special projects and provide ad-hoc operational accounting support, as needed.
What You’ll Bring To The Team
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements
  • Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
  • Experience with coordinating and working closely with billings team
  • Experience with audit coordination and working with external audits
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with ERP systems (Sage is a plus) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
