Job description

The Senior Manager, Product Marketing will support the positioning, go-to-market planning and marketing assets for CSG’s products and solutions. This role will liaise between the Product Management organization, Strategic Solution Units and the customer by crafting a unique and compelling value proposition and product/solution messaging that positions and differentiates CSG’s offerings for success with key buyer personas. This role is a product/solution evangelist and leverages their expertise to optimize our sales enablement collateral, enabling our sales organization with a competitive edge and driving business impact through increased product/solution demand and adoption. 

 

Product & Solution Positioning

Contribute to aligning CSG’s product positioning, value proposition and market differentiation to specific industry and customer needs to drive demand and adoption.

  • Gather information & insights (i.e. competitive analysis, user testing, and customer feedback) needed to develop buyer personas, positioning and messaging to connect with target audiences.

  • Collaborate on the development of product/solution sales plays, bills of materials and other materials to drive demand and pipeline

  • Partner with Communications, Product Management, Strategic Solution Unit and Sales teams to plan and deliver the launch of new products and releases.

Go-to-Market Support

Support the go-to-market strategy execution spanning all stages of the buyer lifecycle; from prospect identification to acquisition and retention.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Go To Market teams to identify and reach the best market prospects.

  • Develop and execute plans to convert leads and maximize market opportunities through outbound marketing or customer-facing activities (i.e. events, tradeshows).

  • Participate in the identification, justification and monitoring of new market opportunities and pursuit plans.

  • Partner with the Strategic Solution Units, Sales and Product Management teams to build necessary tools and materials that to support the Sales organization in driving go-to-market strategies.

  • Rally the company around the global launch and evolution of assigned product(s)/solution(s), providing end-to-end metrics around progress to overtake competitive products in the market.

 

Product, Solution & Customer Evangelism

Be a product/solution brand ambassador and evangelist, participating in the development of marketing content that is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience and engagement for all target audiences.

  • Identify/develop unique customer personas to aid in the development of product and solution positioning

  • Develop deep industry and customer knowledge to align product/solution positioning, value proposition and clear market differentiation to specific industry and customer needs in order to drive demand and adoption at every stage of the customer lifecycle.

Team and Resource Management

  • Support Product Marketing leadership with the management of assigned marketing budget(s) to drive optimized investment and ROI.

  • Manage outside agencies and resources as needed.

Responsible for effective demonstration of managerial practices to include: the identification and recruitment of key strategic talent for the assigned Product Marketing team(s) and providing day-to-day leadership, the establishment of clear roles, responsibilities, and lines of business support for team members, as well as the overall coaching and performance management of a high performing team.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications, or the equivalent work experience

Experience

  • Minimum 10-12+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in a B2B technology environment.

  • Demonstrated effective contributions to product marketing strategy and execution in a fast-paced, fluid, cross-functional, matrixed environment

  • Familiarity with the Pragmatic Marketing Framework (concepts, processes, terminology, etc.)

  • Experience supporting large, complex product launches

  • Excellent writing, organization, and project management skills

  • Strong ability to identify, qualify, and prioritize prospects while leveraging subject matter experts to gain credibility with key prospects

  • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit, be a self-starter, and innovative

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to evolving client and business needs

  • Capability to operate in a multi-cultural environment with an understanding of business and decision processes in different geographical areas

Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.

$115,043.95-$184,071.59

This role is eligible for a bonus opportunity.
