As an External Events Manager you’ll be:
- Responsible for helping to build and execute events in India as part of Tide’s India and integrated global themes and strategies.
- Proactively own major events, both flagship events, and those where Tideans in India appear with 3rd parties. These could cover, for example, the Global Fintech Festival and Fintech Festival India, amongst others.
- Prepare, organise and execute large 3rd party in person, online events and flagship external facing events, where senior Tideans and external stakeholders appear. Coordinate and manage logistics, including liaising with external event organisers, production agencies across multiple locations in India. Attendance and travel where required.
- Scout, source and secure events. Connect with organisers, (e.g., industry bodies and government stakeholders), with the goal of securing opportunities for senior thought leaders at Tide India to attend/speak. Own the process from entry, to acceptance to participation, and follow up. Proactively working to make Tide visible in India’s fintech and tech ecosystems.
- Manage event-related relationships with industry, government bodies to maximise benefits and ensure relationship longevity, where Tideans are involved externally.
- Help senior Tideans (who will be speaking at these events) with talking points for their panel/speakership slot, or presentations/deck, case studies.
- Support the India PR & Comms team, and global PR & Comms team on the above.
- Messaging and custodian of Tide’s external ‘voice’: collaborating with Tideans to align on messaging at events. Ensuring content is ‘on message’ and supports Tide’s growth strategy.
- Integrate event activity featuring Tide, or a Tidean, with other business teams to drive consistent brand messaging.
- Manage best practice follow up on events with external stakeholders around content, including social media, earned media, and other relationship-building opportunities.
- Ideate with Tide teams and support performance metrics. Driving awareness, engagement, perceptions and intent to activation. Evolve and improve measurement.
- Possible on site visits around India ahead of an event as required. Negotiating and implementing contractual agreements with vendors and onsite teams, at events where Tide appears.
- Maintain an annual event India calendar/tracker that would enlist all the relevant events throughout the year.
- Attention to detail in logistics on events where Tideans in India participate, and entry of information into these same trackers.
- Communicating effectively and constructively with all internal stakeholders, partners, agencies, external vendors and internal teams for events in which Tideans appear.

- Excellent spoken and written English skills
- Ability to navigate through the financial and fintech ecosystem to scout event opportunities
- You are confident talking with various internal and external stakeholders to not just secure but convert speaking opportunities for leadership
- Passion for pitching, you should have great pitching skills
- Passion for problem-solving and finding solutions to difficult situations
- You are always on the lookout for new event opportunities that will help promote Tide as a leading business financial platform for SMEs and its leaders as industry experts
- Strong organisational skills
- Experience working in the events space as well as in the finance industry
- You have some experience working in startups
- Attention to detail
- Communicating effectively and constructively with all internal stakeholders, partners, agencies, external vendors and internal teams for events in which Tideans appear.
