Job Description

The Key Account Manager – Power & Industrial / Oil & Gas works with specifiers, OEM’s and EPC’s to develop project technical specifications, in an effort to incorporate Sika’s brands of products into those specifications.  The KAM also works with owners and national accounts in the power & industrial / oil & gas vertical markets to incorporate Sika’s products into their projects.  The KAM works with Marketing and Sales to develop niche products and new markets for Sika.  The individual also assists in major project development by answering detailed and technical questions before and during a project.  The KAM is responsible for working national, regional and local trade shows. with professional industry organizations and provides technical training to specifiers, owners, contractors and OEM’s.

This role will have a national presence, but is ideally located in the gulf coast of the US.

Travel requirement is approximately 75%. Business is primarily conducted at stakeholder offices/facilities and project sites.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 plus sales incentive.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction process from inception to completion and a solid grasp of how construction products are sold into the industry. We are seeking someone who brings a combination of experience, skills, and a commitment to success.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably in the power & industrial industry.
  • Proven track record in Sales/Business Development with experience in the power & industrial vertical, oil and gas, or related markets.
  • Experience in consultative selling and building client relationships.
  • Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Salesforce.
  • Experience using online/electronic databases to generate leads is a plus.
