About the Opportunity: 

Northeastern University Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships Program is a two-year experiential program designed to advance lifelong learning and the education and training of Pharm.D. graduates. Critical to the success of the program is our ability to prepare fellows to meet the ongoing workforce needs in various areas of industry.  

  

Our program gives fellows an opportunity to work with our innovative biopharmaceutical industry partners while collaborating with Northeastern University faculty in professional and career development, service, scholarship, and teaching. 

 

In partnership with Northeastern University, Praxis Precision Medicines, Inc is offering a two-year PharmD fellowship within our Medical Affairs team to be based in Boston or as a remote position with travel to Boston as needed. 

 

About Praxis Precision Medicines, Inc.: 

Praxis Precision Medicines is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company translating insights from genetic epilepsies into the development of therapies for CNS disorders characterized by neuronal excitation-inhibition imbalance. Praxis is applying genetic insights to the discovery and development of therapies for rare and more prevalent neurological disorders through our proprietary small molecule platform, Cerebrum™, and antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) platform, Solidus™, using our understanding of shared biological targets and circuits in the brain. Praxis has established a diversified, multimodal CNS portfolio including multiple programs across movement disorders and epilepsy, with four clinical-stage product candidates. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Our Medical Affairs team plays a dynamic role in connecting Praxis and our groundbreaking pipeline with the larger medical community and healthcare providersThey are responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies that ultimately support expedited development and approval of Praxis’ products. As part of the team, you will work closely with leadership and functional areas across the organization as you build relationships with key stakeholders and gain crucial hands-on experiences through participation in critical initiatives. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Build your understanding of Praxisplatforms Cerebrum™ and Solidus™ and our therapeutic area of focus 

  • Work collaboratively to learn and contribute to: 

  • Development of Medical Affairs plans, Scientific Publications planning, Medical Advisory Board engagement, educational program development, training and conference processes and participation 

  • Support and drive corporate strategic objectives from a Medical Affairs perspective 

  • Support the development and execution of medical brand plans and disease state programs (Advisory Boards, congress activity, field tactics, publication strategy, and medical reviews) 

  • Proactively build and manage relationships with the healthcare, academic and patient advocacy communities across CNS in both common and rare diseases  

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and Clinical Development to provide and communicate the most up to date scientific information  

 

Qualifications: 

Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited institution, eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the US. 

 

Excellent oral and written communication, time management, and leadership skills, ability to work independently and take initiative on a variety of projects at the industry site and Northeastern. 

 

Demonstrates a high level of intellectual curiosity, innovation and creative problem solving with an entrepreneurial spirit; can thrive in an agile environment. 

 

Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion to deliver quality results.
