In order to enhance your academic studies with more practical experience, BDO is offering you an opportunity to join our professional tax teams as an intern. This initial practical experience introduces you to the lively world of taxation and brings you into contact with other recently graduated peers. You will also work with clients from the very first day. These clients range from small SMEs to large international companies that rely on us for support. What will you be doing?:

At BDO, you will join a young and dynamic team. Together with them, you will provide pragmatic tax advice to companies, company directors and managers/directors as well as private individuals. 

 

Your varied range of tasks will include:

  • Understand the client's business by conducting functional analysis interviews
  • Plan and develop intercompany transfer pricing policies
  • Develop transfer pricing strategies to deal with tax authorities in respect of audit and investigations                                          
  • Carry out benchmark studies to determine arm's length pricing
  • Assist clients with their formal TP documentation requirements in Belgium
  • Preparation of transfer pricing documentation
  • Preparation of rulings
  • Writing of technical articles
  • Filing and collecting all client and internal documents on a server
  • Update internal databases (f.e. benchmark and ruling)
  • Translate documents if required from ENG-NL or NL-ENG

  • Option to work at one of our many Belgian BDO offices or at a client site. 
  • You can expect to receive guidance on your thesis and also rely on more experienced colleagues to share their knowledge. 
  • Internship duration: minimum of 1 month, at least 4 days a week. 
  • You will get an internship reimburstment of 10 euros per internship day.
