About The role
Join AstraZeneca, a world-leading Pharmaceutical company operating in over 100 countries, as a SAP SOTC Senior Functional Consultant. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a team of functional consultants for a large SAP support and maintenance project, spanning several SAP landscapes across continents. The candidate should possess broad functional knowledge in his/her domain and in-depth technical knowledge in SAP Finance and Controlling modules and its integration points.
The SAP FICO Consultant will be accountable for:
- Resolving any SAP issues reported by the business users and delivering all enhancements as required by business users.
- Completing all tasks assigned by team lead and project manager, reviewing solutions designed by the team members and proposing improvements.
- You will also work proactively with business users for identifying and resolving recurring issues.
Requirements
Essential
- In-depth functional understanding for their respective work stream and expert knowledge in configuration and maintenance of SAP systems.
- Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain.
- At least 2 years of proven experience as functional FICO consultant participating in incident and change management.
- Experience performing SAP FI configuration is a must.
- Experience on core FI processes (General Ledger, AR, Taxes, Banks) and particularly AP including invoice verification processes and host to host bank transactions (Payments, Electronic Bank statement)
- Good understanding of CO core modules mainly on integration within FI in Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders.
- Good understanding on integration with other modules for Commercial and Logistics scenarios.
- Candidate must be able to translate requirements then into high level solutions into a detailed functional specifications.
- Exposure is essential to highly customized SAP environments and working on interfaces with Non SAP systems.
- Very good understanding of integration of SAP modules in End to end business processes
- Ability to work in large and complementary teams.
- Exposure to Run SAP (Solution Manager) methodologies.
- Good understanding of GXP and SOX requirements. Should have working experience in a validated environment.
- Should be aware of release governance processes and have experience in working on any incident management tool.
- Experience of various Estimation Techniques needed
- Good communication and social skills.
- Well versed in English and Spanish. Good spoken and written skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Experience working in a globally distributed team
Desirable
- Controlling submodules as Product Costing / Profitability Analysis
- Hands on experience in other functional SAP core modules (FI, MM, PP)
- Participation in full SAP implementations
- Sap certifications
- Abap (debugging)
- Specific country localizations (ie, Electronic Invoicing, Taxbra)Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required; additional Agile certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, SAFe) preferred.
