Job description

Applications System Engineer - Cloud
Alpharetta, GA (onsite)
12+Month Contract

Responsible for maintaining the stability and supportability of cloud solutions. This is an on-site position for local candidates only.

Responsibilities:

  • Support new cloud solutions, including UAT, ORT testing, and driving operational requirements.
  • Maintain platform stability, security, and supportability by interfacing with development teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Monitor, maintain, and support cloud solutions, ensuring processes for installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading.
  • Develop guidelines for systems monitoring to ensure availability, uptime, and performance.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and outages.
  • Support web portals, orchestration, platform, application, API, network, and monitoring needs.
  • Facilitate post-outage reviews and manage Service Incident Reporting (SIR), delivering Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Linux System Administration.
  • 1-3 years of Kubernetes experience.
  • 1-3 years of Jenkins pipeline management for cert rotations, OS/code/firmware upgrades.
  • 1-3 years of GitHub repository management.
  • 5+ years of client-server hardware break/fix experience.
