JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary
Join Driven Brands at an exciting time as we continue to build a world-class Internal Audit function! We’re looking for a motivated Senior Internal Auditor to play a key role in our team. In this role, you will contribute to essential tasks to support financial reporting for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, conduct risk-based internal audits (spanning operational, compliance, and IT domains), and conduct franchise audits along with advisory and consulting engagements.
This position requires minimal travel to Driven Brands subsidiary locations (less than 10%) and offers a fully remote work environment.
Responsibilities
As the Senior Internal Auditor you will partner with the Internal Audit Manager to drive SOX 404 audits, internal audits, franchise audits, and strategic initiatives across a complex and decentralized operating model.
Key responsibilities include:
- Audit Planning and Risk Assessment: Develop audit scopes, objectives, and work plans, including selecting appropriate tests, identifying key controls, leveraging data analytics, and other audit techniques.
- SOX 404 Audit Execution: Lead the annual SOX 404 audit by conducting walkthroughs of processes and controls, testing controls, and coordinating deficiency remediation.
- Operational and Compliance Audits: Oversee and execute operational, financial, and compliance audits, ensuring audit quality, timeliness, and alignment with audit standards.
- Team Collaboration and Reporting: Work remotely with team members around the globe to plan and perform audit procedures, presenting findings, risks, and recommendations to business process owners and senior management.
- Risk Assessments: Perform periodic risk assessments to identify significant accounts, processes, and locations.
- Stakeholder Relations: Develop strong professional relationships with external auditors and process owners across global locations.
- Continuous Improvement: Balance the role of an objective assurance provider with that of a consultative partner to drive continuous improvement on audit engagements.
- Professional Development: Maintain a thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and current developments in auditing practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certification(s) such as CIA, CPA, or CISA.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in assurance or advisory services with a Big 4 firm and/or in a SOX-compliant multinational organization.
- Strong project management skills with an emphasis on process development and improvement.
- Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong report writing and presentation capabilities.
- Exceptional organization, time management, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).
- Knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS, IIA Standards, and COSO framework.

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
