Our market-leading payment products help truckers save thousands of dollars on fuel (their #1 business expense), while providing our fuel stop partners with access to new, hard-to-reach customers. We’re a fast-growing marketplace business looking for a new customer-obsessed teammate to join us on this exciting journey.

The Merchant & Pricing Operations team sets overall contract and pricing strategy, executes critical pricing functions, and works with technology teams to develop robust systems. For the Mudflap app, the Pricing Operations team focuses on optimizing the marketplace and meeting business goals.

As a Pricing Operations Manager, you will focus on executing pricing strategies, develop frameworks for Truck Stop contract terms, and refine our pricing operations functions, including collaborating with Product teams to iterate on our proprietary pricing systems.

Expectations (In this role, you will):

  • Implement overall pricing strategy and execution plans to optimize Mudflap economics to achieve company goals
  • Review contract terms for Merchant partners and develop a streamlined process to address requests, including support de-escalation and change processes
  • Lead customer-facing teams to triage payment issues, provide data and resolution plans, and post-mortem issues, including follow-ups
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to experiment with different driver pricing discounts for new and existing drivers, including various offerings from truck stop partners
  • Partner with internal technology teams and explore external vendors to iterate on our pricing systems, including data sources, product features, and automation

Experience (What we look for):

  • 2-4 years of prior experience in consulting, finance, banking, technology, or operations
  • Analytical skills: you can develop actionable insights from complex data. You have experience with data analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization tools. You are highly proficient in Excel/Sheets and SQL. Experience with Tableau, Python or similar is a plus
  • Process Champion: you have experience implementing end-to-end workflows and processes from scratch for new, future products and existing operations
  • Operations-minded: you find a way to get the function done and prioritize streamlining and improving processes
  • Collaboration: you are a strong cross-functional leader, effective at managing multiple internal and external teams towards business goals
  • Communication skills: you can communicate complicated insights and arguments both verbally and in writing

Perks and Benefits (What we offer):

  • A remote-first company focused on hiring the best talent
  • A committed team on a mission to change a massive industry for the better
  • A high bar for quality and commitment to self-improvement
  • An open mind to new ideas and methodologies
