This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Sage marketing department as an Author Marketing Intern. In this role, you will play a key part in promoting Sage's offerings to both current and potential authors. Our marketing department is dedicated to supporting authors by providing valuable resources, demystifying the publication process, and educating them in publishing skills and processes.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
As an Author Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to tackle a variety of important responsibilities and contribute to our specialist marketing efforts. Your main duties will include:
· Using different marketing systems and receiving training to effectively promote Sage's offerings and reach our target audience.
· Using your creative thinking and excellent writing skills to produce or update marketing pieces that captivate and engage authors.
· Coordinating the creation of valuable resources across different teams to ensure a strategic delivery to authors.
· Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify key trends and opportunities for improvement in our marketing strategies.
· Assisting our staff in implementing marketing campaigns and making valuable suggestions for improvement.
· Collaborating with other team members on different projects and effectively communicating your ideas and progress.
· Conducting research and crafting compelling content for our existing social media accounts, helping to maintain an active and engaging online presence.
· Using your Excel proficiency to help track the return on investment (ROI) and report on marketing performance.
· Ensuring the accuracy and maintaining the high-quality standards of our marketing materials through effective proofreading.
Qualifications & Education
Required:
· Must be a current student working towards the completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, to optimally analyze data and build reports.
· Excellent organization and time management skills, allowing you to balance multiple projects and shifting priorities with ease.
· Strong written and oral communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey your ideas and collaborate with team members.
Preferred
· A background or course of study in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or a related field is helpful. This will provide you with a solid foundation to excel in this role.
· Experience conducting online research will be beneficial in understanding market trends and identifying new opportunities.
· Previous experience running social media accounts and creating engaging content will be advantageous in maintaining and growing our online presence.
