Position Summary:

The Network Engineer is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of network infrastructure. This individual will serve as a technical resource, assisting in efforts needed to support of a “connected” experience for our associates. As a Networking Engineer, he/she will have a solid technical understanding of the network infrastructure in a large enterprise. The individual will assist in all troubleshooting and/or triage efforts should the network experience any type of failure or incident. This position will take direction, from both senior network engineers and leadership, to implement modernization of the network infrastructure, yielding an improved connected experience for our employees.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for network infrastructure and the connected experience for all associates
  • Can travel as required, up to 25%, to implements and supports all enterprise network infrastructure
  • Stays abreast of available network upgrades, reducing the potential for technical debt. Identify opportunities to improve process and operational disciplines
  • Contributes to the design and implementation of a resilient, secure and scalable network
  • Assists in troubleshooting all network devices (routers, switches, wireless access points, VPN, VoIP).
  • Works well with team members within various technology disciplines
  • A self-starter who can fulfill various requests, including maintenance tasks and business projects, with limited supervision
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors
  • 3+ years of Cisco networking leadership in large, multi-site enterprise
  • 3+ years of Cisco network hardware configuration management (routers, switches, VPN/IPSec)
  • 3+ years leading all Cisco VoIP infrastructure in a large, multi-site enterprise
  • 3+ years managing enterprise deployment and support for secure Wireless
  • 3+ years of operations leadership where incident management and metrics is emphasized
  • 3+ years of TCP/IP, inclusive of LAN and secure WAN design and implementation
  • Cisco CCNA‐level or equivalent proficiency certification required
  • Strong analytical skills with incident and problem management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including Jira documentation
  • Highly collaborative, willing to help colleagues and business partners
  • Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, which fosters an enablement culture
