As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Director, Total Rewards to join our Human Resources team. This role is based at Burnaby or Toronto North York head Offices (on-site position).

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Director of Total Rewards to lead the development and management of our compensation, benefits, and incentive programs. This leadership role will work closely with the Chief People Officer and senior management to ensure our programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with company goals. You’ll oversee base compensation, short-term and long-term incentives, executive compensation, and employee benefits, all while fostering a positive employee experience. Please note: Since 123Dentist is a national, Canadian company, candidates who are bilingual in French and English will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning: Design and implement a total rewards strategy that aligns with our business objectives and market standards.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee compensation programs, including salary structures, incentives, and benefits (health, retirement, wellness).
  • Executive Compensation: Manage executive pay, stock options, and related programs to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop communication strategies to help employees understand the value of total rewards.
  • Data & Reporting: Analyze compensation data, track program effectiveness, and present insights to senior management.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, HR, Business, etc.); Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of total rewards experience, including at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Certification (CCP, CPHR, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or PHR) is preferred.
  • Experience in large multinational organizations; dental or healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.

  • Expertise in compensation structures, benefits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to build relationships with executives and teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
