About The Role

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Canada.

In this role, you will be responsible for Accounting and Finance for Lifescan Canada ULC, bringing your extensive financial analysis skills and knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• This is a remote-working working role; we will consider applicants from all areas of Canada.
  
  
  

Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Acting as a finance business partner to the local commercial teams (Commercial Leadership team, Account Managers, Marketing, Market Access, Sales Reps)
• Preparing and enhancing the monthly financial reporting packs and variance analysis for Canada
• Being a central point of contact to the external auditor or tax advisor, providing necessary financial information and explanations when required
• Supporting local business projects through analyses and process expertise
• Supporting the Commercial leadership team and Finance Director in budget preparation and updates
• Utilizing reporting expertise to develop and enhance financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standard and regulations
• Supporting and assisting with the preparation of financial reports for senior management
• Collaborating with both global and finance support teams to align financial reporting processes, share best practices and ensure consistency across regions

About You

You will be qualified to Degree level in a related discipline (Finance or Accountancy) and have demonstrable experience working for a large organisation.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong team values, who is proactive at building strong working relationships.

You will also have a “hands-on” mentality, strong attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to change, including the emergence of financial analysis tools and techniques.

As Well As

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including financial statement preparation and reporting
• Expertise in financial analysis, including financial modelling, forecasting, and evaluating financial performance
• A strong understanding of business operations, dynamics, and trends to provide financial analysis and guidance
• Strong Excel skills and the wider MS Office product suite, as well as a general interest in and understanding of other IT systems
  
  
  

Experience in the use of JDEdwards and Hubble is also desirable.
