Title: Temporary Bilingual Research Specialist (Remote)

Reporting to: Exception Manager
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 CAD
Description:
WES is looking for a remote temporary Bilingual Research Specialist to join our Exception Specialist Team. This role will support and assist the team by reviewing and sourcing pertinent educational criteria, providing guidance on cases that require country-expert advice and counsel, and enhancing the overall efficiency of WES’ credential evaluation operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong research background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze and interpret educational data. Language skills in French and /or Spanish is a prerequisite. Advanced proficiency in English is required.
Remote assignment, duration through end of year (2024), work hours M-F 9-5, Eastern Standard time zone required. All training will be included.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on educational systems, credentialing practices, and relevant criteria for various countries to inform evaluation processes.
- Assist in reviewing cases that require specialized knowledge and country-specific expertise, ensuring accurate and timely evaluations.
- Provide the Exception Specialist Team with informed guidance and recommendations based on research findings, helping to address unique and complex cases.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation of research findings and case assessments to support decision-making processes.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work
- Mandatory language skills including, French, and/or Spanish. Advanced proficiency in English is required.
- Proven experience in research, data analysis, or credential evaluation, particularly in an international context.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and allocate time efficiently in fast paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing work
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, while also being a good team player, and engage in proactive problem-solving.
