JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Manager, Signature Programs, Event Operations, the Coordinator – Cops for Cancer collaborates and works closely with team members across the country to drive financial functions, coordinate logistics and act as a resource to the team, including the main in-office support contact for team members and event constituents. This includes supporting the development of tools, providing associated training and preparing comprehensive action plans to support the advancement of the program.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:  

  • Support national program development by creating new tools and resources that will assist with increased fundraising success.
  • Identifies creative and innovative opportunities in the development or enhancement of existing Cops for Cancer events and First Responders programs.
  • Supports with account management tasks as well as external customer service support.
  • Manage financial reports & budgets, including processing invoices and expense claims. 
  • Responsible for maintaining event logistics documents such as critical paths and budgets.
  • Supports in effectively implementing and executing Cops for Cancer event(s) of 9+ days to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders including staff, volunteers, external vendors and other key partners
  • Ensures team alignment related to administrative processes for the Cops for Cancer programs and provides direct support to all team members. 
  • Represents CCS at Cops for Cancer events and on assigned tour(s).
  • Collaborates with internal support teams to deliver program objectives
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities to improve department processes that will drive efficiency. 
  • Liaise with internal CCS departments regarding the program.
  • Adhere to all administration procedures as required.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of The Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations and comply with CCS’ Health & Safety Policy.

  • Other duties as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Related post-secondary education; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least 1 – 2 years of customer service experience
  • Experience working in an office environment.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Strong time management, project management and relationship management skills.
  • Experience negotiating and fulfilling event related sponsorship and operational contracts. 
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and proven interpersonal skills, including presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Negotiation, problem-solving and diplomacy skills to resolve issues with stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgement and maturity in dealings with a variety of constituents. 
  • Proven ability to accomplish goals, meet deadlines and establish priorities with minimal direction.
  • A flexible schedule which allows for multiple after-hours events and meetings
  • Ability to travel within Canada – i.e. a valid Driver’s License.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce is considered an asset
