Our expectations

As the Specialist in Major Bids and Quotes for Western Canada and Ontario, your expertise in product knowledge, pricing, vendor relations, and market dynamics is essential in supporting 45 & growing Outside sales Representative (OSR). You serve as connection between vendors, sales reps, and customers, ensuring accurate, competitive, and customer-focused quoting processes that drive business success.

Working directly with Pricing team you will be involved In B2B home improvement materials provider for High volume customers, going from renovators to Multi builder & more.

Your role

  • Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise: As someone familiar with vendors and the technicalities of various building materials and lumber products, your role involves understanding the specifications, uses, and applications of different items. This knowledge is crucial for accurately quoting prices and advising sales reps and customers on product suitability. Being agile in making recommendations with alternate product & avoiding price matching wrong similar products.
  • Pricing Strategy and Cost Structures: You play a significant role in intel for pricing strategies based on your understanding of cost structures, market dynamics, and competitive pricing analysis. Your ability to negotiate with vendors and leverage bulk purchasing agreements can directly impact profit margins and competitiveness in the market.
  • Supporting Sales Representatives: Working very closely with sales reps, you provide essential support by generating timely and accurate quotes. This includes ensuring quotes align with customer needs, constraints, and project specifications. Clear communication and responsiveness are key to facilitating smooth transactions and building customer trust.
  • Market Understanding and Adaptability: The west market for building materials and lumber is complex and dynamic. Your role involves staying updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and supplier conditions that could affect pricing and product availability. This knowledge helps in making informed decisions and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Customer Service : Beyond quoting, your role contributes to enhancing overall customer service. By providing detailed and transparent quotes, addressing technical inquiries, and offering alternative solutions when needed, you contribute to a positive customer experience and long-term business relationships.
