Revvity is seeking a full-time attorney to work within its legal department, supporting the Licensing & Technology organisation within the Life Sciences segment. This attorney will primarily focus on supporting the Licensing & Technology business by handling complex licensing agreements related to collaboration agreements with large pharmaceutical companies.
While the primary responsibility will involve providing legal support to the Licensing & Technology business, including its Bioproduction business located at our Cambridge, UK office, the attorney will also support other areas within the Life Sciences organisation, such as the Reagents and Platforms businesses, as needed. Additionally, this position will handle general employment and labour law matters within the EU, as required.
This attorney will help manage risk while working collaboratively with business colleagues to find practical and creative solutions to various legal matters. The legal department’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, providing practical legal advice to the Life Sciences organisation, supporting and negotiating complex licensing agreements, offering employment and labour law advice to HR in the EU, and supporting various departmental and cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and provide day-to-day counsel to the business on general commercial matters by collaborating with business partners at all levels of management to effectively balance minimising legal risk while enabling the execution of strategic business objectives.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to confidentiality, material transfer, professional services, procurement, and other general customer and supplier agreements.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of complex licensing and collaboration agreements for the Licensing & Technology business, with an initial focus on Horizon’s Bioproduction business. While this role primarily supports the Licensing & Technology business, it is part of the Life Sciences legal team and will support other businesses within the Life Sciences organisation, such as Reagents and Platforms.
Provide practical, sound employment and labour law advice to the HR team in the EU, as required.
Support M&A activities for the Life Sciences organisation.
Work collaboratively with other members of the legal department and assist as needed.
Create, improve, and/or update form agreements and processes to enhance aspects of contracting procedures and ensure alignment of contract terms with Revvity’s policies and standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested as knowledge of the business and legal skills evolve.
Required Qualifications:
LL.M., JD, or equivalent degree in law with a focus on intellectual property or life sciences law.
Licensed to practise law in any jurisdiction.
A minimum of 6+ years of transactional/commercial experience, ideally within the gene therapy, pharmaceutical, or broader life sciences sector.
Strong understanding of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to determine risk exposure and advise the business in a practical manner, balancing legal risks with business needs.
Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Strong analytical and creative troubleshooting skills.
Excellent judgement and personal and professional maturity and integrity.
Understanding of German law, as part of the Licensing & Technology business is based in Germany.
Fluent in German (both written and spoken).
