CAD Engineer

Position Overview

RecruitGo is in search of a CAD Engineer who will play a critical role in designing and detailing Rooflights using Autodesk CAD and CAD Plan software. Working closely with the internal team, you will produce customer sign-off and manufacturing drawings, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation. This role does not require customer-facing interaction, allowing you to focus on technical aspects and collaboration with the in-house design and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Use Autodesk CAD proficiently to design and detail flat roof Rooflights.
• Work alongside internal teams to produce detailed Rooflight drawings that meet design specifications and production requirements.
• Utilize CAD Plan (AutoCAD add-on specific to the window and door industry) to enhance design precision and industry standards.
• Create accurate, detailed customer sign-off drawings to verify design specifications and client expectations.
• Generate manufacturing drawings that provide clear instructions for production and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and documentation.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for project documentation and reporting.

Requirements: 

• Proven experience as a CAD Engineer with expertise in Autodesk CAD.
• Experience with CAD Plan or similar AutoCAD add-ons for window and door detailing is highly advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work effectively as part of an internal team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
