Key Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Python and Scala to ingest, process, and manage large-scale data efficiently.
• Real-Time Data Streaming: Implement and optimize real-time data streaming applications using Apache Kafka, ensuring high availability and low-latency data flow across systems.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Build and manage data solutions in AWS, utilizing cloud services for data storage, processing, and integration, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
• Data Quality & Consistency: Develop monitoring and validation frameworks to ensure data consistency, reliability, and accuracy within the data pipelines.
• Collaboration with Data & Engineering Teams: Partner closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and other Engineers to align on data needs, define data schemas, and provide timely access to high-quality data.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously improve the performance and efficiency of data pipelines and storage solutions, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Advanced/Fluent English communication.
• 6+ years of experience in Python development with a strong background in data engineering.
• Proficiency in Scala for data processing and experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming.
• Demonstrated experience in AWS services for data engineering (e.g., S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue).
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Expertise in Python and familiarity with the Python ecosystem for data processing (e.g., Pandas, PySpark).
• Practical experience with AWS services, Kafka, and message-based data streaming.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams in a data-driven environment.
• Desirable: Familiarity with data lake architectures, SQL and NoSQL databases, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
