Job description

About the team
At Zillow Group, our Legal and Compliance team of skilled professionals aims to ensure that Zillow Group adheres to state and federal regulations and our own internal policies and company expectations. We are dedicated to fostering collaboration within our innovative and dynamic company, where we strive to make home ownership accessible to all.

About the role

Zillow is looking for a responsible and dedicated individual to join our Vendor Management team. You will work closely with our Corporate Social Responsibility team and collaborate with various groups within the company. Your main focus will be on developing and enhancing Zillow’s supplier sustainability program. The role requires proactivity and strong communication skills to engage with suppliers and internal partners, including senior leaders.

At Zillow, we recognize the importance of global and corporate sustainability and our responsibility to participate for the protection of our customers and our planet. We also recognize that there is much work to be done on supplier sustainability initiatives in the areas of policy development, education, and accountability.

This position involves collaborating with internal business partners to create policy, set strategy and implement initiatives aimed at achieving Zillow's supply chain science-based target. Additionally, the role includes engaging with suppliers to support Zillow in achieving its supply chain science-based target by educating them on our requirements, collaboratively setting goals, and then holding them accountable for their performance. If you want to make big contributions to a fast-growing enterprise, we encourage you to apply!

  • Lead the development of supplier-focused policy and performance expectations for measuring, managing and reporting on supplier emission targets, as well as other activities that impact Zillow Group’s science-based sustainability targets.
  • Develop plans to integrate supplier sustainability and targeted opportunities into Zillow's business and operations, including meeting climate targets and managing supplier climate change risk.
  • Align Vendor Management expectations with the Zillow Group Procurement process to influence suppliers to build robust sustainability practices that align with Zillow's values and reliably deliver high-quality goods and services across all Zillow brands.
  • Act as a stakeholder in internal and external workstreams to align the requirements for our suppliers with corporate climate targets and improve our sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment to timelines and milestones.
  • Monitor and report progress to measure the effectiveness of supplier sustainability initiatives, providing quarterly and annual metric reports to measure progress towards achieving Zillow’s supply chain science-based target.
  • Educate suppliers and ZG staff on the Vendor Management program’s sustainability policies and guidelines, and thereafter disseminate our expectations for supplier accountability.
  • Lead the annual sustainability reporting process for suppliers in partnership with the corporate social responsibility team and various internal partners.
  • Serve as an advisor to cross-functional partners on supplier sustainability strategies and transformation efforts.
  • Establish metrics, creating reporting mechanisms and benchmark strategies, results, and performance with industry norms and best practices.
  • Establish processes and governance models essential for growing sustainability initiatives and accountability across the supply chain. Collaborate with suppliers to encourage participation in decarbonization efforts, empowering them to mitigate emissions and set science-based targets.
