The Role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibilities include taking proactive ownership of the British Safety Council’s commercial performance and business generation in the regions of Gujarat, Central India, and East India. This role focuses on client acquisition, where you will be tasked with identifying and developing new accounts for the full range of our products and services in these markets. You will engage with key decision-makers to build long-term and sustainable business relationships.
Your responsibilities will also include effectively managing various types of accounts (including Public, Private, and Multi-National companies) by formulating and executing new business development plans and regional development strategies. You will generate leads through market visits and other methods to facilitate closures.

The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of solution selling experience in client acquisition.
- Proven success in growing business in new markets with a focus on multi-channel sales turnover.
- Expertise in identifying and winning tender-based opportunities.
- A track record of achieving challenging sales objectives, especially for discretionary services.
- Experience in key account and business development project management.
- Ability to develop strategic B2B partnerships to meet revenue goals.
- Experience working within field-based teams and leveraging internal support.
- Strong sales achievement with target and deadline orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication at all levels.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Strong negotiation skills at all decision-making levels.
