Job description

Role Purpose:

We are seeking an awesome HR Business Partner to join our team! In this role, you'll be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our leaders, working closely with them to drive business success through people-centered strategies. We’re looking for someone with a proven ability to build strong, impactful relationships across all levels of the organization. You'll need excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to assess needs, provide insights, and develop solutions that align with our goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Partners with designated Sama department heads on talent-related matters including, but not limited to career development, performance management, promotions, conflict resolution, terminations, etc. 
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization, at all levels and spanning multiple departments.
  • Acts as a primary HR Support for employees on a wide range of career-related topics, excluding benefits administration and leaves of absence.
  • Advises and partners with leaders across the organization to ensure talent is engaged, retained and developed. 
  • Coaches leaders at all levels in the organization, specifically VP and above.
  • Works in partnership with other members of the People team to develop identified opportunities into programs, projects, policies, etc. that have an impact on the employee experience.
  • Project Manages / leads the HRBP team to develop and implement Talent Management Program at Sama
  • Leads Talent Management Program Initiatives with designated leaders:
    • Leads quarterly growth conversation launch and review 
    • Leads and launches the annual promotion and salary increase process 
    • Leads engagement survey planning, execution & follow through 
  • Partners with relevant People team members and organization on Learning & Development and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging programs and trainings;
  • Other duties as required 

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of HR experience, preferably with experience in a Business Partner role
  • Ability to significantly impact clients as a strategic HR advisor
  • Relies on experience and HR knowledge to solve problems efficiently without additional supervision
  • Proven ability to create strong business relationships that impacts client group
  • Demonstrates exceptional judgment and autonomy 
  • Capability to carry out and/or lead projects and initiatives from strategy to delivery
  • Strong understanding of HR & Talent Management best practices, programs and interventions
  • Outstanding decision-making skills 
  • Highly dedicated and responsive; demonstrates outstanding follow-through and the ability to quickly and effectively get the job done
  • Experience in Learning & Development is an an asset
  • Experience in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging programming is an an asset
  • Experience in the tech industry, ideally from a similar size organization would be an asset
  • Completely fluent in English
