Job Title: Supply Chain and Warehouse Manager
Location: Winter Garden, FL
Reports to: Chief Services Officer
Job Summary:
The Supply Chain and Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s overall supply chain operations, including inventory management, warehousing, and distribution. The role involves optimizing logistics, ensuring efficient warehouse processes, maintaining accurate inventory control, and developing effective supplier and customer relationships to meet company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to manage order fulfillment.
- Analyze data to forecast demand and plan inventory needs accordingly.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring optimal space utilization and efficient material handling.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain proper safety and security standards within the warehouse.
- Develop and enforce warehouse policies, including those related to health, safety, and quality assurance.
- Implement best practices for warehouse management, including the use of technology and automation where applicable.
- Logistics and Distribution:
- Plan and oversee the transportation of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Manage relationships with logistics partners and monitor their performance.
- Resolve issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or other distribution challenges.
- Optimize the supply chain network to improve overall distribution performance.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse and supply chain staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide training to enhance team skills and productivity.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory, supply chain performance, and operational efficiency.
- Use data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance and Quality Control:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain quality control processes for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Manage audits and ensure proper documentation for all supply chain and warehouse activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum five (5) years experience in supply chain, warehouse, or logistics management.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and supply chain optimization tools.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and compliance regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
Working Conditions
- May require occasional travel to supplier locations or distribution centers.
- Extended hours may be required during peak periods
