We are currently seeking a Network Engineer  to join our team. In this role you will be a change agent by working on the TFM2 contract. TFM2 provides modernization and life cycle support of Information Technology infrastructure that host national implementation of the FAA's Traffic Flow Management (TFM) functionality. It also focuses on long term engineering services and the development of new functional enhancements that increase the capability of Traffic Flow Management.

HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER SENIOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
  • Establishes and maintains network performance
  • Builds net configurations and connections
  • Troubleshoots network problems monitoring network performance and ensuring reliability and availability
  • IP address auditing
  • Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation
  • Defines, documents, and enforces system standards
  • Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades
  • Configures routers and upgrading network equipment with the latest stable firmware releases
  • Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers and employees when needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree( in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field)    
Required Experience:
  • Ten (10) years related experience
Security Clearance Level:
  • Must be clearable for a position of Public Trust and standard background investigation check

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience using Java /J2EE applications
  • Understanding of networking and internet protocols
  • Familiar with Cloud Service Providers
  • Experience with web services and API’s
  • Experience using C/C++, SQL, XML and experience with databases
  • Experience with Cloud security
  • Experience with IBM Rational Team Concert, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management,  GitHub, Eclipse, Docker, and/or Ansible
  • Experience in managing and overseeing design and support WAN & LAN connectivity to multiple data centers and campuses
  • Experience using Cisco Routing, including OSPF, EIGRP & BGP routing protocols
  • Good documentation skills, including experience writing implementation plans, design justifications and Visio network diagrams
  • Has full technical knowledge of all phases of network operations
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customer
  • Flexible with schedule

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
