Position Summary:
 

The Senior Strategy Analyst plays a key role with using data and analytics to identify department performance improvement opportunities. Leveraging multiple data & reporting platforms the associate will support the Construction, Procurement, Vendor Management, Due Diligence, Project Coordination, Construction Estimation, and Operational Excellence Teams with both reporting & analytics.

Essential Functions:

  • Works cross functionally (within the department) to identify improvement opportunities & process gaps to improve Department KPIs

  • Fulfills ad hoc requests from Director of Strategy & Pricing, VP of Renovations, SVP of Renovations, & COO

  • Liaison between the Renovation Department and the Business Intelligence Teams to setup the Reporting Data Tables for Looker (single source of truth)

  • Perform UAT on new BI Reports/Data points needed to support Executive Reports/Dashboards

  • Update/Maintain key Operational/Performance reports via combination of SQL & Excel Formulas/Pivot Tables

  • Assist with Automation/Self Service setup/communication of Data/Reporting Requests for the Renovations Department

  • Leverage trend data and analytics methodologies to assess opportunities and threats across growing departments


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of technology, finance, engineer, or business administration or 5 or more years of progressive experience in a business analyst role.

  • 5 years’ experience working as an analyst

  • 2 years’ experience with coding in SQL

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to “think outside the box” and bring new ideas/solutions to go above and beyond on a task

  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize with timely follow up

  • Requires abstract thinking and creative solutions

  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Data visualization software and Power Point) as well as other computer applications

  • Ability to collaborate and act decisively with the ability to interact effectively inside and outside the department

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
