What You'll Do::
The Career Services Specialist verifies job placements and ensures accurate job placements rates for the graduates of Arizona College of Nursing and its affiliated schools (the “College”). This is achieved by adhering to the policies and procedures put forth by the College and the Manager of Career Services and through building relationships with prospective employers for the College’s graduates.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Verify employment through established policies and procedures to achieve a verified job placement rate of 90% or greater for BSN program graduates each reporting period.
- Collect and record graduate employment information and maintain information in accordance with College and accreditation standards.
- Proactively contact graduates and respond to graduates regarding job leads, job placement assistance, and general post-enrollment follow-up regarding Career Services.
- Provide resources to graduates to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their educational or vocational obstacles.
- Report graduate placement rates and verification status to campuses.
- Develop new partners in the medical community through networking and outreach activities, including hosting campus events.
- Maintain current knowledge of job placement opportunities with local employers and provide key employer contacts with information about the College and opportunities to visit the campus.
Other duties as assigned.
What We Need From You::
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skills and experience required.
- 2+ years’ experience in registrar, career services, or related department for a post-secondary institution.
- At least one (1) year experience providing career services or employment assistance required, three (3) years preferred.
- Inside sales and/or sales support skills preferred-- ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of successful demonstration of business development and/or sales competencies.
- Excellent communication skills required to effectively communicate general information to students, faculty, staff, externship preceptors and other stakeholders.
- Results-oriented and able to manage various projects or numerous tasks at one time.
