Reports To: Manager, Computer & Control Systems Engineering
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 USD (Partial Relocation Assistance Available)

Job Summary:

As a Process and Control Automation Engineer, you will be integral in designing, maintaining, and commissioning automation and control systems for industrial equipment. This hands-on role requires proficiency in PLC process controls, SCADA, and HMI applications, as well as experience in combustion control systems. This position includes up to 35% international travel and is based on-site in Carrollton, GA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation and control systems for industrial equipment, with a focus on PLC process controls.
  • Program PLCs, drive systems, and combustion control systems, ensuring effective operations on the plant floor.
  • Create SCADA and operator interface applications to improve system management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical and electrical components, adhering to standard procedures.
  • Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD preferred) for creating electrical schematics and project manuals.
  • Conduct on-site commissioning and assist in SCR system operations, maintenance, and customer training.
  • Develop scope of work, cost estimates, and budgets for electrical systems.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the chemical or manufacturing industry, focusing on instrumentation, control, PLCs, AC/DC drives, and combustion systems.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Extensive experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
    • Proficiency in SCADA systems, HMI applications, and AutoCAD.
    • Skills in computer programming, networking, database management, and reporting.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Ability to travel internationally up to 35%.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
    • Hands-on experience with PLC operations on the plant floor is essential.
