We are looking for a Senior Pursuit Manager to join our growing Utility Services team and to oversee all Utility Services pursuits activities and assignments!

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor a team of Pursuit Managers, Coordinators (I & II), Technical Writers and Assistants.
  • Support the ongoing management and pursuits needs of regional EVPs and SVPs.
  • Foster growth and development of pursuits staff and technical staff for the betterment of the proposal process and for expanding team members’ knowledge of the pursuit process
  • Lead proposal kick-off assignments such as RFP documentation pull, fatal flaw requirement reviews, task list summary development, production schedule and requirements.
  • Involved in the go/no go process and will determine the availability of resources, outlining schedules for all pursuits within defined area of supervision.
  • Lead proposal review schedule with operations ensuring timely material completion.
  • Support the development of competitive analysis and create win strategies to better the firm’s chances of project award.
  • Contribute to activities or campaigns leading up to the pursuit such as targeted marketing campaigns, business development activities or public relations campaigns.
  • Perform technical training of staff in relation to pursuits, setting the department up for success.
  • Accountable for achieving win rates above industry averages and consistently meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Identify improvements in processes and departmental efficiency.
  • Ability to establish departmental processes and realign staff as necessary to meet ongoing pursuits volume and needs.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications or related field
  • 6+ years of industry related experience
  • Organization and effective time management skills and ability to multi-task (multiple simultaneously occurring projects/initiatives)
  • Management skills and experience
  • Expert in pursuit-related activities in the utility services space: qualifications, proposal, presentation
  • Grasp of technical skills required for database management.
  • Professional and proactive work ethic
  • Highly collaborative, self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment, with constantly changing demands
  • Excellent written, oral and communication skills
  • Demonstrated graphic design capabilities.
  • Persistent and proactive
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Expectations
  • Must have the ability to occasionally travel for team meetings. 
  • Hybrid or Remote work arrangement maybe considered.  Ideally near an Anser Utility Services office location.
  • Geographically supporting leadership and team members currently in California, Texas, Pennsylvania, Maryland, DC.  Geographic locations will expand.
  • Must complete and pass a thorough background investigation and drug screening
