Job description

Your mission
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Berlin, think-cell has become the leading provider of business document creation software, renowned for our essential PowerPoint plug-in that revolutionizes the creation of charts and other layout functionalities. In 2021, Cinven recognized think-cell’s potential and acquired a majority stake, further solidifying our position in the market.

Your role
In your new role as Academic Partnership Manager/ Associate you will be end-to-end contributing to a strategic priority of think-cell in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC) – the growth of the academic program.

In our academic program we bring think-cell and state-of-the-art storytelling to the next generation of leading professionals. This means we provide students and professors with free access to our tool, so that they can already benefit from think-cell during their time at school (find out more here). We have big plans to grow the program significantly with the next years – and you can be an integral part of it.

The Asia-Pacific region is for think-cell a strategic growth area for the academic program with aggressive growth ambitions of growing at least 3x in 2025.

Your Tasks
  • Grow current partner accounts: We already have a small network of some of the leading academic institutions in APAC incl. elite schools like INSEAD, CEIBS, and NUS Singapore. Your job is to nurture those university relationships, talk to professors, deans and students and promote think-cell via trainings and events to increase awareness and software penetration across the campus
  • Establish new partnership: You will do outreach, help prospects and users how to use think-cell via trainings and ensure smooth usage of think-cell. This includes discussions with student clubs (mainly consulting, finance, competitions), academic institutions as well as strategic partners
  • Be responsible end-to-end: The program is in the early stage, which means you can actively shape the program from the top of funnel marketing ideas, plays to increase awareness and adoption through to graduation (‘Best idea wins’)
  • Enable teaching staff: Convincing professors and lecturers to integrate think-cell into your curriculum and to teach critical skills of data visualization and storytelling
  • Get your hands dirty: We are speedboat within think-cell which means we can shift priorities fast and everyone is doing what is needed to ensure the success of the program
  • Work closely with a small team: You work directly with the Head of Academics and our Academic Partnership Managers in the US and EMEA on strategic and operational priorities to ensure program success
Your profile
  • Experience: 3-8 years of customer success, (pre-) sales or (strategic) partnership experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – a core part of your job is to inspire people to use think-cell via trainings
  • Product: Appreciation of our product and tech in general – willingness to learn think-cell’s product is a must (don’t worry, it’s very intuitive) – prior experience with think-cell a plus
  • Winning Attitude: You take your work, but not yourself too seriously
  • Self-starter with a data-driven entrepreneurial mindset – you see challenges not problems
  • Language: Fluency in English is a must - one other major APAC language strong plus (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Hindi)
  • Location: Berlin-preferred with a hybrid set-up – remote in Germany possible
  • Bonus experience: Prior experience in academic sector (i.e., universities, publishers) and relevant knowledge of/ a network in the international business school landscape
