This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week; 9 AM to 1 PM, Toronto, Canada time; Monday to Friday

Job Description

As a Junior Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial processes of our growing US operations. You’ll work with cutting-edge ERP systems and have the opportunity to develop your skills across various aspects of accounting and finance. This position offers a unique blend of hands-on experience and strategic input, allowing you to make a tangible impact on the company’s success. You’ll collaborate closely with the operations and sales teams, providing crucial financial support that drives business growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Drive efficient invoicing and implement effective payment follow-up strategies
  • Create and oversee purchase orders for local items, ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
  • Ensure smooth functioning of the payroll system, including overtime data input
  • Generate bank files for payments, maintaining financial flow
  • Provide key financial support to operations and sales managers
  • Contribute to the maintenance and optimization of the ODOO ERP system
  • Assist in developing and refining financial processes for the growing US operation


Requirements
  • Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable management
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly ODOO
  • Working knowledge of US tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong ability to work independently and juggle multiple priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Availability to work 9 AM to 1 PM Central Time (US), Monday to Friday
  • Comfortable with remote work and virtual collaboration tools
