We are looking for a Lean Project Manager to join our dynamic and engaged lean management team which is part of Offshore wind.
How to contribute to our vision
The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure that have the appropriate work processes and lean tools in place for doing planned and unplanned activities and that these are standardized and continuously improved.
You will be expected to both facilitate and participate in the development, improvement and implementation of the various optimizations. There is approximately 30-50% travel required within the role for visiting regional offices and sites around the world.
The role is to be based out either Vejle, Denmark or Gdansk, Poland or Hamburg, Germany or Taiwan, Taichung and will report to the Head of Lean Management of Siemens Gamesa’s Vejle Office in Denmark .
What are my responsibilities?
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
• Mapping and analyzing work related to our fleet for offshore using video optimization & value stream mapping tools
• Developing and implementing lean tools for our Offshore activities
• Detecting and keeping an overview of potential improvement areas
• Initiating and leading optimization projects related to operational activities in Offshore together with global and regional functions
• Coaching and training employees in lean methodologies
• Ensuring knowledge sharing and use of best practice
• Supporting the development and implementation of the lean roadmap
What you need to make a difference
You have a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Construction, or Logistics Engineering and profound knowledge of lean methodologies, combined with years' of practical experience in project management, lean management, and the implementation of changes within the field of offshore.
Experience in the offshore wind energy business will be considered an advantage.
As a person, you have an analytical and structured mindset as well as a result and quality-oriented approach to your work. Furthermore, you are a dedicated team player with strong problem solving and leadership skills. You possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing, and you are an experienced user of MS Office applications and preferably of SAP and Primavera/MS Project.
It is a big advantage if you thrive in a multi-cultural environment and are familiar with working in large organizations. It is therefore important that you have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
