DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations, a Crest Industries company, is searching for a well-qualified and experienced candidate to fill the Company’s Sales Manager role. The Sales Manager is a well-qualified, experienced technical sale professional with a proven track record of selling complex engineered solutions. This position is responsible for growing the company’s customer base and increasing the company’s brand awareness within the high voltage industry throughout an assigned region. The Sales Manager is responsible for relationship development, execution of sales, sales strategy development and implementation, business planning and interface with proposal and project managers of the company. The Sales Manager seeks out and develops utility and non-utility customers within the region. The Sales Manager will be responsible for researching and developing prospective customers through cold calling and leveraging existing relationships. This position will ultimately be responsible for developing and executing a successful sales strategy.

COMPENSATION:
$70,000 - $150,000 per year (potential for beyond scale)
 
Salary range is estimated. Actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications and application of any geographic salary differential.

  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop a complete and thorough knowledge of DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations innovative product and service offering
  • Actively build new customer relationships through cold calling and expansion of existing relationships resulting in a well-diversified customer portfolio
  • Lead the customer development of utility and non-utility customers
  • Diagnosis and inform management of key industry data, insight on market intelligence, target opportunities and the development of a sales strategy
  • Team collaboration with sales reps, proposal, project, engineering, commercial and management teams
  • Maintain awareness of assigned Company Sales Representatives contracts
  • Support and leverage DIS-TRAN’s previously established sales agency network
  • Participate in territory specific marketing campaigns and events
  • Work with the company staff on market intelligence projects
  • Work with the company staff on national and regional trade shows
  • Assist in the development of the company’s annual business plan
  • Willingness to travel, primarily domestically, 50% of the time


  • REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or an associated program
  • 5 years of experience with sales in the utility industry
  • Experience communicating with and influencing customers within the High Voltage Industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Products – Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


  • REQUIREMENTS (PREFERRED):
  • Existing relationships with key players at US Utilities within the transmission and distribution side of the business
  • ERP System knowledge preferred
