Project Background:
Advana is the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s (CDAO) enterprise-wide, multi-domain data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) platform that provides all DoD military and civilian decision makers, analysts, and builders with enterprise data, tools, and capabilities—all in a scalable, reliable, and secure environment. Jointly managed by the DoD CDAO Mission Analytics and Enterprise Platforms and Services Directorates, the mission of Advana is to accelerate decision advantage by making data, analytics, and AI widely accessible, understandable, and actionable across DoD. To do this, the Advana platform hosts curated analytics applications in a total of 13 DoD business domains, including logistics, people and health, intelligence and security, readiness and global force management, etc.; it provides market-leading, self-service tools to perform data exploration, model development, data visualization, and other analysis activities; and it provides both users and builders on-demand data, analytics, and AI capabilities via a DoD-wide platform.
Job Requirements:
At least 5 years of technical writing experience in the following areas.
- Developing presentations, reports, memos, and multi-media products to quickly and accurately communicate plans, complex issues, technical results, and process instructions or guidance.
- Assembling and staffing complex packages, tracking progress, and adjudicating comments
- Creating and editing documents accurately describing purpose, intent, responsibilities, processes, and activities
- Coordinating documents and incorporating inputs to retain original intent while adequately addressing other points of view.
At least 3 years of experience in the following.
- Synthesizing and writing on strategic and technical topics and concepts such as communications, space, cyber, or missile warning and defense.
- Understanding and communicating scenarios to prompt desired exercise or assessment tasks and behaviors.
- Quickly developing post-event summary reports to convey major findings or lessons learned accurately.
- Synthesize detailed information, correlate the information to/from other reports, presentations, etc. and identify potential synergies or disconnects.
- Retrieve and communicate data from repositories such as tables, spreadsheets, and/or databases.
