About the Position

Our client is looking for clinicians passionate about gastrointestinal medicine and treating GI disorders. Gastroenterologists who prioritize quality compassionate care and seek to provide best-in-class patient experience would be a great addition to our team. A successful candidate for this position will have experience diagnosing, treating and creating specialized medical treatment plans for gastroenterology patients. 

Physicians are members of an interdisciplinary care team working as staff clinicians with OpenLoop. They work independently and are responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making within the industry and locally established standards of care, clinical practice guidelines, and organization policies and procedures. The scope of medical decision-making focuses on common conditions that would present within an episodic, acute, or primary care medical practice. Responsibilities
  • Diagnoses and treats acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions in the field of Gastroenterology
  • Providing asynchronous care, including review of results, ordering of tests, medication prescription and communication with patients, as appropriate.
  • Explains diagnoses, test results, prescribed treatments and personalized treatment plans to patients
  • Provides specialized health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene and disease prevention
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of care providers to implement treatment plans and provide a comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Refers patients to other medical specialists, when necessary


Requirements
  • Must possess active, non-restrictive medical licensure in multiple states
  • Board-certified physician (MD or DO) from a US-accredited medical school
  • Board-certified in board-certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine in multiple states
  • Must possess an ACTIVE, non-restrictive medical licensure in the following states: NY and NC
  • A minimum of TWO years experience as a practicing physician required
  • MUST have a current DEA
  • Must have no history of malpractice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding clinical expertise, evidence-based practice
  • Competent in providing patient education at every visit
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Above-average comfort with technology and assisting patients with troubleshooting technical difficulties that may occur in the home environment
  • Timely and professional
  • Telemedicine or virtual care experience a plus
