I’m the Associate CMO for Sound’s Acute Care Telemedicine Program. I’m proud of the telemedicine practice we have built, and I welcome interest from hospitalist physicians desiring a career in leadership. We are currently hiring a full-time acute telemedicine physician director. I want to share more about it, specifically about our people, practice, and purpose, as you consider options:

People

• We are an established and growing team of physicians. We are hiring a full-time physician Director to partner with our acute telemedicine leadership. This position will require .6 clinical (72 hours of clinical work per month) and .4 administrative duties (weekly meetings, interviewing prospective team members, quality improvement, and compliance initiatives).
• Our team members live nationwide and work remotely to support hospital partner sites nationwide.
• Our physicians are highly experienced internal medicine-trained, board-certified hospitalists with a passion for integrity and delivering high-quality patient care.
• Top candidates will have leadership and recent hospital medicine experience working with open ICU.
• Top candidates will also have an IMLC and active license in one or more states: TX, VA, WV, WA, CA, and MI.
  
  

Practice

• We welcome the challenge of complex cases. Our acute care telemedicine work is performed in various hospital settings, and we are highly adaptable.
• Our telemedicine team gets to drive high-quality care by bringing better care to the bedside and provides overnight clinical coverage with flexible hours/scheduling options.
• Sounds’ licensing team will help manage the procurement of state licenses needed to work at one of our telemedicine hospital partner locations. We will cover the cost of these licenses.
• Compensation for the acute telemedicine physician director is $232K per year.
