Fraud Prevention Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Proactively analyze large volumes of data from various sources to detect fraud and abusive behavior trends.
  • Conduct portfolio analytics to generate client insights, perform market segmentation, and assess clients’ risk profiles.
  • Drive portfolio performance to balance consumer experience and prevention.
  • Develop and deploy rules in the real-time decisioning engine.
  • Manage the lifecycle of rules to increase auto-decision rates, reduce manual reviews and chargeback rates.
  • Evaluate, resolve, and communicate the impacts of fraud and abusive behavior to clients through detailed analysis.
  • Provide support to the Fraud Business Intelligence, Order Review, and Chargeback teams, and collaborate closely with product development, internal, and external technology groups.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with Python.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline; a master’s degree in STEM or Economics is preferred.
  • Over 2 years of experience in an analytical, data-driven environment with the ability of translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Previous fraud prevention experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record of excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand both business and technical requirements.

Travel:

  • This position is remote.
  • Travel is not required.
