Job description

Our client is looking for a SAP Plant Maintenance Functional Analyst.

Start date: Between December 1, 2024 and January 15, 2025

Duration: 12-month with strong possibility for extension

Remote work

Language: French speaking or bilingual

CANDIDATE MUST BE BASED IN QUEBEC

Responsibilities

  • Optimize the processes under his/her responsibility according to the Company's strategic orientations, the best practices supported by SAP and the expected benefits;
  • Ensure the consistency and integration of business processes during their optimization;
  • Perform detailed analyses of business process requirements and document them;
  • Identify gaps between business needs and SAP and identify gap solutions or workarounds, as needed;
  • Carry out the SAP configuration and document the changes required according to the chosen methodology;
  • Design, customize, configure and test;
  • Identify gaps, problems and alternatives;
  • Investigate, analyze and resolve SAP issues for problem resolution;
  • Proactively identify and propose improvements to the system;
  • Provide advisory services on new locations and existing support projects;
  • Assess the feasibility and measure the cost-effectiveness and benefits of the change requests (DDCs) under his/her responsibility;
  • Act as an intermediary between the business functions and the technical team;
  • Write functional specifications;
  • Write and execute test scenarios;
  • Configure the solution according to functional needs;
  • Produce gap and impact analyses on existing RICEFWs (gap between functional needs and solution);
  • Provide significant technical and functional support and support during the deployment phases;
  • Support, and sometimes take charge, of the management of incidents and anomalies;
  • Act as a facilitator during team meetings and workshops;
  • Participate in various committees such as the Solution Change Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Architecture Committee;
  • Monitor SAP solutions/modules in order to maximize the use of standard SAP features;
  • Ensure the compliance of processes in connection with the Business Process Hierarchy (BPH);
  • Provide training and user support.

Below is the list of the main deliverables that may be produced:

  • Feasibility, risk, and gap analyses;
  • Proposals for improvements and opportunities;
  • Performance evaluations;
  • Cost estimates and efforts;
  • Functional specifications, test scenarios and parameterization.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in information technology;
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years with SAP Plant Maintenance
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in carrying out various mandates in the development and evolution of application systems;
  • Over the past five (5) years, have completed a maximum of five (5) relevant mandates, carrying out activities and deliverables listed above
  • Over the past five (5) years, have completed a minimum of three (3) relevant mandates, aimed at integrating several solutions into a complex and innovative application portfolio;

Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
