Senior QA Engineer - Remote (Select States)

As the largest online distributor of restaurant supplies and equipment, WebstaurantStore hosts an expansive catalogue with over 430,000 products that are delivered through fast, dependable shipping. Unlike most in the e-commerce arena, almost all of our technological design, development, and systems management is done in-house, allowing us to create custom solutions within an ever-changing market. This consistent, organic growth is why we have a need for a senior level QA engineer looking to further their career.

This position is 100% remote in qualified states only (see bottom of page for list) on a full-time, W2 basis.

As a QA Engineer, you will be:

• Troubleshooting and triaging issues with multiple teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
• Following established coding standards to work within our Automation Framework to test custom applications.
• Running System, Integration and UI testing on multiple web-based products and platforms.
• Following Agile Methodology to test and complete a task.
• Creating and updating existing QA documentation.
• Working closely with Development, Business Analysts and Product Owners to ensure project success.
• Working with peers both onsite and remotely.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a QA Role.
• 3 years of automation experience utilizing the following or combination of: Java, Rest Assured Libraries for API and Groovy.
• Advanced SQL knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Understanding of QA practices (white and black box testing, risk-based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices).
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to expand on usable Business Requirements (Acceptance Criteria).
• Proven ability to write clear and concise test cases.
• Capable of assessing Project risk and giving fair estimate of work.
• A good understanding of multiple software testing methodologies.
• Web and API testing experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a majority remote team.
• Be able to accommodate Eastern Time Zone work hours.

Remote Work Qualifications

• Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.

• A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
