Position Description

To strengthen our sales team within the Benelux region we are looking for a Sales Application Specialist based within Benelux who will work alongside territory Sales Account Managers to act as a portfolio specialist, shaping and aligning customer requirements with the most suitable QIAGEN solutions. The successful candidate will drive both pre-sales and post-sales activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team with instrument/workflow lead finding, identification, opportunity development and implementation in customer laboratories.
  • Drive menu expansion on existing platforms.
  • Take responsibility for on-site application troubleshooting with customers and work towards solutions.
  • Support our remote IT team in setting up bidirectional LIMS connections and remote monitoring of customers instruments.
  • Present features and benefits of QIAGEN products to potential and existing customers, primarily focused around the instrumentation portfolio.

Position Requirements

  • Master’s degree in molecular biology, genomics or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant employment experience in molecular biology/ molecular diagnostics.
  • Solid experience with molecular biology technologies PCR, qPCR, dPCR and/or NGS with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • Fluent Dutch speaker. Professional level of English.
  • Valid driver´s license with the ability to travel to customer sites within the Benelux region at least 70% of the time.
  • Good IT knowledge, sales experience and knowledge of SFDC would be beneficial.
