Job description

 

Diodes is seeking a Corporate Sustainability Manager to join our Legal Department (this is not a hybrid remote work from home position).

 

Primarily responsible for working collaboratively with operations, environmental, health and safety (EHS), finance, human resources, procurement, marketing communications (MarCom) groups across our various sites globally to help develop, consolidate and communicate company-wide sustainability efforts, including Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. The Corporate Sustainability Manager will serve as a key point of coordination around all of company’s sustainability and ESG activities and initiatives and will monitor the legal and regulatory landscapes and requirements around sustainability/ESG reporting. Project manage cross-functional efforts around sustainability, complete external environmental, supply chain, sustainability/ESG reporting and disclosure, and submit survey and index submissions that impact ESG ratings. We are looking for a critical thinker with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, business and supply chain insights and deep understanding of the various sustainability reporting standards and metrics.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an ESG dashboard for functional leaders and the executive team, measure and monitor progress against ESG strategies, goals, metrics and performance targets, developing evaluation systems as required;
  • Assist in the preparation of various disclosures, including within the ESG reporting frameworks, SEC disclosures, and other reporting bodies;
  • Support company’s responses to third-party evaluators, rating and ranking organizations, and surveys from customers and supply chain partners;
  • Further develop sustainability strategy, implement adoption and communicate with senior management and other key stakeholders;
  • Stay up-to-date with reporting frameworks and standards, and relevant regulatory requirements as well as rating agency expectations; identify gaps between these requirements and expectations and the company’s practices/activities and provide recommendations and implement changes a necessary;
  • Benchmarking of ESG performance against peers, and against industry trends and best practices;
  • Collaborates within and across teams to inspire and advance projects, drive change across organizations as necessary; and ensures accountability for cross-functional projects;
  • Proven ability to deliver results and maintain focus despite varied interests and competing priorities;
  • Communicate effectively across the different organizations to gather data and develop insights;
  • Proven ability to synthesize information and extrapolate insights from complex data sets;
  • Attention to detail, ability to identify gaps and ask probing questions to develop insights;
  • Works effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities; and
  • Be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 3 years of related experience with managing or leading corporate sustainability/ESG or corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs;
  • Master’s or graduate degree in ESG, CSR or a related discipline is preferred;
  • Project Management and EHS experience as well as knowledge of ESG frameworks (especially TCFD and climate related reporting) and standards is preferred;
  • Proven experience in developing strategies, metrics, goals, and action plans to advance corporate approaches in sustainability;
  • Skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively, and ability to shift priorities, demands, and timelines;
  • Advanced skills in writing and report preparation as well as strong communication skills
