Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30a to 5:30p Vernon, CA Time with 1-hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Junior Magento Website Developer to join our team. In this role, you will create and manage our Magento-powered websites to deliver high performance and improve user interactions. You’ll work closely with our website, design, and marketing teams to implement creative solutions and enhance website functionality. The ideal candidate should have experience with both front-end and back-end Magento development, strong problem-solving skills, and a genuine interest in e-commerce.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and deploy new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for Magento websites.
Customize Magento themes, extensions, and modules to meet brand guidelines and business requirements.
Optimize site performance, speed, and user experience by applying best practices in coding and website architecture.
Work collaboratively with website, design, and marketing teams to create a seamless and engaging online shopping experience.
Manage integrations with third-party applications (such as payment gateways, ERP, CRM, and analytics tools).
Maintain security and compliance standards by implementing patches, updates, and ensuring data protection.
Conduct regular website audits and troubleshoot to improve functionality, usability, and technical performance.
Document development processes, code standards, and solutions to support consistency and scalability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
Proven experience as a Magento Developer with a strong portfolio of Magento websites.
Proficiency in Figma, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
In-depth knowledge of Magento 2 and its core architecture.
Experience with front-end development and UI/UX principles.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Magento PWA (Progressive Web Application) and headless commerce.
Knowledge of Adobe Commerce Cloud.
Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms and integrations.
