Job description

This is a remote position.

Overview: We are committed to providing quality, compassionate care to our patients by ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our administrative processes. We are seeking a dedicated Medical Admin Assistant who will play a vital role in maintaining accurate patient records and supporting the team in managing essential data. This role is ideal for an individual who values precision, confidentiality, and can work independently while contributing to a supportive healthcare environment.

Schedule:
  • 20 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday, 9am to 1pm Wallingford, CT

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input patient demographics, insurance details, and other relevant information into the company’s database system.
  • Upload and organize various documents into patient charts to ensure they are up-to-date and accessible for clinical staff.
  • Conduct thorough data verification to maintain high levels of accuracy and completeness in all records.
  • Adhere to privacy standards and uphold the confidentiality of sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage individual workload effectively, completing tasks independently while following standard procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to clarify data or resolve discrepancies, ensuring seamless communication across departments.

Requirements:

  • Proven proficiency in data entry with strong typing skills and a high level of accuracy.
  • Must have medical admin experience preferably HIPAA compliant
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to review information thoroughly before submission.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology is preferred, enhancing the ability to accurately interpret and enter data.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and concise interactions with team members.
