Job description

This is a remote position.

Work Schedule: Full-time,   Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Illinois time.
                          One-hour unpaid break during the workday.


Responsibilities:
  • Post daily/weekly financial activity for clients into Xero, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Categorize and sync receipts from Hubdoc into Xero on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot bank and credit card feeds within Xero, ensuring they are operating smoothly. Address any issues promptly.
  • Utilize communication tools such as Slack and Zoom for effective and timely collaboration with team members.
  • Proficiently use Google Sheets for organizing and analyzing financial data.
  • Communicate proactively about any potential missed deadlines, providing advanced notice and seeking appropriate solutions.
  • Use a project/task management tool, specifically Asana, to track and manage assigned bookkeeping tasks.
  • Handle client data with a high level of discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and actively contribute as an integral part of our team.



Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Virtual Bookkeeper or in a similar role, demonstrating strong bookkeeping skills and knowledge
  • Must have Windows OS 
  • Familiarity with Xero and hands-on experience in posting financial activity.
  • Proficiency in categorizing and syncing receipts
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to ensure bank and credit card feeds operate effectively within Xero.
  • Comfortable using Slack and Zoom as primary communication methods for team collaboration.
  • Proficient in using Google Sheets for organizing and analyzing financial data.
  • Familiarity with project/task management tools, specifically Asana, for efficient task tracking.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • High level of discretion and commitment to maintaining client data confidentiality.
