Job description

This is a remote position.

A boutique FMCG e-commerce company is seeking an enthusiastic remote Sales and Marketing Assistant to support their sales and marketing initiatives. This opportunity offers part-time working for 12 - 15 hours per month on an independent contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in promoting products, driving online orders, and fostering customer relationships and ideal for the working mom.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Promotion and Marketing:

  • Develop and execute strategies to promote their products to wholesalers and everyday buyers.
  • Create engaging product messaging for email campaigns and telemarketing outreach.
  • Implement email marketing campaigns to increase product visibility and customer interest.

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain a database of new and existing customers to drive repeat business.
  • Follow up with wholesalers monthly for new orders, addressing any inquiries and promoting new offerings.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by following up on orders to confirm completion and payment.

Order Management:
  • Actively push online orders and ensure they are processed efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of order completion, customer preferences, and feedback.

Marketing Strategy and Brand Development:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies to grow brand identity and reach.
  • Identify and explore new avenues to enhance brand visibility and customer loyalty.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in sales and marketing, particularly with email marketing and customer outreach.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Experience with telemarketing or outbound sales is a plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, email marketing tools, and other digital marketing platforms.
  • Languages: English and Afrikaans.
  • Must have a home office set up, with a backup power supply in event of power failure or load-shedding.
