JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting is primarily responsible for assisting in the preparation of the Company’s financial statements and SEC regulatory reports (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, etc.). In addition, the Senior Accountant is responsible for stock-based compensation accounting and reporting. The position reports to the Financial Reporting Manager and will partner closely with various departments to support these deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing the financial statements including footnote disclosures, supporting schedules, roll-forwards, and reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual reports on Form 10-Q/K, Earnings Releases, Proxy Statements, and other SEC filings.
  • Prepare quarterly ASC 718 journal entries, analysis, and related reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual accounting memos.
  • Ensure timely identification and compliance with the latest accounting standards.
  • Maintain procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
  • Interact with internal and external auditors to ensure requests are met in a timely manner.
  • Participate in other projects as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • BA/BS Accounting degree required.
  • CPA or in pursuit a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience in public accounting under US GAAP required.
  • Big 4 audit experience is preferred.
  • Financial reporting experience is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with NetSuite, Workiva and E*TRADE a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Location: The position is remote; however, occasional on-site attendance will be required at our Tinton Falls, NJ location.

Thank you for your interest in Commvault. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, and within the below base salary range:

$68,000 - $195,500
