About The Position

Velosio seeks a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Consultant to join the Data Platform Services (DPS) team.

We are offering an opportunity for a consultant with a background in accounting or financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to join our growing Corporate Performance Management (CPM) consulting practice. As a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Consultant at Velosio, you will lead the implementation of reporting, budgeting, and forecasting solutions with our small to enterprise-level clients across a broad spectrum of industries. You will interface with client personnel, from C-Level individuals to staff analysts, during the deployment of selected software solutions. A heavy focus is on accounting and finance conversancy applied to client business opportunities. The consultant must have a great interest in the intricacy of business operations and processes as they relate to reporting and budgeting and must be able to articulate the value proposition of CPM tools. Confidence and excellent listening and communication skills are requisites to success. The consultant will work in a team environment and as an individual contributor.

Your Day Might Look Like

CPM Solution Implementation:

  • Lead or assist in the implementation of CPM solutions.
  • Develop and configure reporting, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation solutions tailored to client requirements.
  • Customize CPM tools to meet unique client needs, focusing on improving financial reporting, budgeting processes, and performance analysis.
  • Continuously optimize implemented solutions to ensure scalability and alignment with business objectives.

Client Engagement & Requirements Gathering

  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements.
  • Conduct needs analysis to understand and translate the organization’s goals into functional specifications.
  • Provide expert advice and best practices on CPM and financial planning processes.

Training & Support

  • Provide training and documentation to end-users.
  • Offer post-implementation support, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and upgrades.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and adoption of CPM solutions within client organizations.

Project Delivery

  • Manage project timelines, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and challenges to clients and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional internal and client teams to align CPM solutions with overall project strategy.

Required

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with CPM systems such as Solver, Prophix, Cognos, Planful, Vena, Hyperion, OneStream, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, financial reporting, and consolidation processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and analysis.
  • Knowledge or interest in learning GAAP reporting, IFRS reporting, operational reporting, management reporting, and audit-based reporting.
  • Knowledge or interest in learning new budget and forecasting approaches like zero-based budgeting, driver-based budgeting, and sensitivity analysis.

Preferred

  • Working experience in implementing Solver CPM / BI360.
  • Certifications in Solver CPM or other CPM platforms are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and data integration is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience with Microsoft ERP systems (Business Central, GP, SL, F&O).
