Are you an enthusiastic Reporting Professional who has a systematic and creative approach to unlock the value of data? Do you have the oversight to support stakeholders across all levels and functions in DLL and along the data chain in obtaining key insights from data? Fulfil the role as Global BI and Reporting Consultant in the Global Data Management & Reporting organization. Co-transform the Global Reporting Team, that translates data into valuable information and advice to internal business stakeholders.

You work with data in our enterprise data warehouse (the BI Factory) and the Global Reporting Datamart on the Azure cloud platform. This is the source for all trusted and verified global reporting in Power BI and fed from all of DLL’s front and back-office systems. You will drive the development of our next generation reporting and dashboards that support all functional domains globally. You actively manage (senior) business and corporate stakeholders in addressing questions and reporting needs.

You are expected to build structural reporting solutions, using the full power of the Microsoft platform. By intelligently combining tools like Power BI and Power Automate running on Azure as the data platform with communication and collaboration tools like Teams and SharePoint, we create an automated reporting environment that delivers insights exactly there where decisions are being made. In addition, you will be a primary contact for the day-to-day reporting tasks, and provide training and ad hoc support to the 1000+ users globally on the various reporting resources and dashboards available to them. This is a very dynamic environment where demands constantly develop and change.

Day To Day

  • Understand the business processes and translate business wishes into user-friendly reports and dashboards, with the right trade-offs between functional desire and technical possibilities.
  • Leading role in the development of our global management reporting environment, building reports and dashboards that support self-service by our 1,000+ users globally.
  • You are constantly looking for opportunities to innovate, proactively applying the latest tools and insights.
  • You can oversee the entire data chain from source to information product.
  • You can oversee DLL’s organizational structure and the entire value chain and understand the key needs and challenges of each part of it.
  • You are able to advise on improvements to the existing data and information platform and can support the business customers in their self-service environment.
  • Manage the backlog of planned activities in DevOps, and translate functional requirements into technical requirements for the Global Reporting Datamart that is managed by IT.
  • Liaise functionally with subject matter experts in DLL’s network to continuously validate and improve reporting capabilities.
  • Support the business on day-to-day requests and training needs using the team’s request management system.

Essentials

  • Master’s degree in Business Intelligence / Data Science or a related discipline.
  • Several years of experience in a working environment where the following skills are required in the day to day job.
  • Strong analytical skills. Reporting and visualisation skills with Power BI, MS Azure platform, MS Synapse, MS Power Platform, SQL and/or equivalent.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, including having difficult conversations with (senior) business stakeholders.
  • Ability to connect and translate data from multiple sources into meaningful insights for a non-data focused audience and able to explain such insights in the “customer language”.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks where priorities may change, and drive initiatives to completion in a cross functional environment.
  • Strong ability to work independent, highly motivated, seeking and finding new insights.
  • Experience in working with IT and bridging the gap between business needs and functional solutions.
  • Affinity with working in a diverse and international environment.
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills.
